This week we discuss: TOP TEN of 2013!
1- Nowhere But Home– I can’t explain anymore. Southern. Food. Love. This book is perfection. And so is Liza Palmer.
2- Second Chance Summer– It was this book that made me cry four times. That says enough.
3- Me Before You– I still think about Me Before You, and then making Kelly read it, reminded me of its amazingness.
4- Burial Rites– This one has staying power. Agnes’ story is brutal but beautiful.
5- Shadow & Bone- Fantasy. Petrified. Me. THIS series gave me hope for the whole genre.
6- If You Find Me– Emily Murdoch knows how to write strong family relationships, & make you cry. THANK YOU JUDITH.
7- Longbourn– JUST finished this one and reviewed it with Hannah. This novel solidifies my NEW love of Historical Fiction.
8- HOPELESS– Colleen Hoover gave us Dean Holder. That should be enough for you to pick up this one, just ask Betty.
Extra : Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo and Crash Into You by Katie McGarry because both have some of the most awesome badass [in their own ways!] characters EVER.
What’s on your list? What have you read on mine??

I’ve read quite a few from your list and I agree with you on them – of course, I think, the only one that is on both my list and your list is Nowhere But Home but that is no shock, right?! Agree on Me Before You (my poor face after that book), Hopeless which I’ve read several times, and If You Find Me, which I thought was so, so great. Of course the Leigh Bardugo books.
But I started Second Chance Summer earlier in the year and while I was reading, I had to stop because of my dad and the issue in the book. BUT! I will start it back because while I don’t remember much of what I read, what I DO remember – I liked. (:

Second Chance Summer is waiting for me on the shelf and now I am extra afeared of ALL THE FEELS.
I love that there are THREE books on this list that are basically there because of me (yes, I’m counting Longbourn because you wouldn’t have loved it if I didn’t make you read Pride & Prejudice first). We’ve both had some great reads this year – hope that continues in 2014!
AND I plan on reading Shadow and Bone and If You Find Me as soon as possible. So then I can thank you for your bookish wisdom

I’ve read 3 out of the 8 you included in your “best of” list, but you can be rest assured that the rest of those books you’ve mentioned are certainly on my TBR. I certainly hope to getting around to reading Nowhere But Home in particular, since I know that you and Hannah adored it to pieces!
